HUGOTON – Walter Francis Jordan, 93, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025 at Logan County Senior Living in Oakley.
He was born Jan. 13, 1932 to Oliver and Evie (Clevenger) Jordan.
He enlisted in the United States Army in 1952. After his honorable discharge, he returned to New Mexico.
He married Georgina Elaine Parsons May 12, 1956. She preceded him in death.
He worked as a trained mechanic and farm hand for various farmers in multiple states for many years.
He was a member of the Catholic faith.
He enjoyed the outdoors and led a quiet life.
Survivors include his children, William Jordan and wife, Becky, Ruthann Thrush and husband, Roy, Holly Lashmet and wife, Judy Bryant, Georgina Lochrie, and Mary Jordan; siblings, John and Neil; 13 grandchildren: Brandon Jordan, Beverly Weiss, Benjamin Jordan, Bryce Jordan, Heather McDaniel, Ashley Hampel, Christopher McDaniel, Brittney Lashmet, Jessica Schmidt, Ian Lochrie, Robin Foust, Shawn Farmer, and Brisa Escalera; and 33 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Winnie, Floyd, Freddie, and Joel; grandson, Christian Farmer; and great-grandson, Benjamin Steven Jordan Jr.
• Graveside services took place Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.
