Larry Dwayne Quillen, 64, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025.

He was born March 29, 1961 in Hugoton.

He graduated from Hugoton High School and subsequently enlisted in the United States Navy, where he spent six years as a Spy Radar Technician. His commitment to service earned him several commendations, including the Good Conduct Award and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

Upon his return to Hugoton, he joined Seaboard Foods, where he served as a maintenance technician for many years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, and he also enjoyed collecting firearms.

Survivors include his mother, Carol Quillen; brother, Bryan Quillen, and sister-in-law, Renee; four nieces: Cassandra Loomis and husband, Patrick, Kelsey Langley and husband, Nick, Kiara Quillen and companion, Darien Hargett, and Addyson West; nephew, Braydon West; three great-nieces; six great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Larry Quillen; brother, Bobby Dean Quillen; paternal grandparents, Delmer and Maxine Quillen; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Velda Sandusky.

• Graveside services took place Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025 at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton, with Pastor Bergen Morris presiding. Military honors were conducted by the United States Navy and Southwest Kansas Honor Guard. 

A memorial has been established for St. Jude's Hospital in care of Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
