Susan Kay Chain, 80, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025 at Wheatridge Care Park in Liberal.
She was born Nov. 20, 1945 to Frederick and Anne (Radich) Kulisek.
She married Charles Chain Aug. 30, 1969. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 2025.
She ran a daycare out of home for several years while her children were young.
She later became the church secretary at Central Christian Church in Liberal, where she was also a long-time member.
She enjoyed many hobbies including crafting, quilting, sewing, beading jewelry, painting, and collecting.
She was also a member of the Needles & Friends Quilt Guild and a volunteer with SWMC Auxiliary and Birthline Pregnancy Center.
Survivors include daughters, Alice Isaacs (Russell), Turpin, Okla., and Paula Jackle (Dillen), Olathe; sister, Karen (Doug) Coleman, Lynden, Wash.; and grandson, Jase Paul Jackle.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 at the Miller Mortuary Chapel in Liberal, with Pastor Chuck Scroggs presiding.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 at the Evergreen Cemetery near Oakwood, Okla.
