ELKHART – Carolyn Rosezan (Hayes) Turner, 75, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler.
She was born Dec. 3, 1950 to Norman and Vera (Webb) Hayes.
She married Gale Turner Sept. 11, 1971. He preceded her in death Jan. 22, 2020.
She graduated from Hudson High School in Hudson in 1968. After graduation, she started her career in the medical field at St. John District Hospital as a nurse’s aide.
She went to work for the Morton County Health System and did various jobs, including nurse’s aide, ward clerk, pharmacy tech, General Psych secretary and medical records clerk for 29 years.
She also worked for the Hutchinson Clinic, first in Radiology and then in the business office for 12 years before retiring in 2019.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cross stitching and embroidery.
Survivors include daughter, Glenda Turner; three sisters: Evelyn Fehrenbach (Jim), Rose Farmer, and Lenora Lampe; brother, Leonard Hayes (Gale); brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Sheryl Turner; as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lonnie Hayes; brothers-in-law, John Farmer and John Lampe; and niece, Kendra Farmer.
• Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, with Jess Lee presiding.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.
