Louise Tawater, 82, died Friday, April 26, 2024.
She was born April 12, 1942 to Hubert and Elizabeth Schoellman. She was born a twin; however, her sister did not survive her birth.
In spite of the challenges of raising six kids alone, she somehow managed to never miss her children's countless sporting events, talent shows, and pageants. She raised successful business owners, State Wrestling Champs, a Two-Time all American Collegiate Wrestler; one who was invited to train with the US Olympic Wrestling Team, and a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.
She earned her cosmetology and barbering license at Barry's Beauty College in Houston. She ended up working as a hair stylist for 59 years and did this in Liberal (Curl Up & Dye and The Vanity), Dallas (The Hair Boutique & The Leaves Senior Living Home), and ultimately finished in Tulsa at University Village Senior Living Home.
She was an avid sports fan of college football and the Dallas Cowboys, and she loved watching all genres of movies. She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time and making memories with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children and their spouses: George (Tammy) Tawater, David Tawater, Micheal (Tonya) Tawater, Kerry Tawater, Chris Tawater, and Toni (Mark) Buffington; sisters, Irene LaFonck and Pauline Hight; her grandchildren and their spouses: Cameron (Kerri) Tawater, Cody (Kristen) Tawater, Chandler Tawater, Alexandria Hutchins, Alivia (Corben) Barnett, Mollie Buffington, Payton Tawater, Sidney Tawater, Titan Tawater, Sierra Tawater, Cheyenne Tawater, Daulton Tawater, Taylor Tawater, Katy Kinard, Taylor McClenahan; and multiple great-grandchildren.
