John Robert Obholz, 72, died Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover.
He was born May 1, 1951 to John and Geraldine (Price) Obholz.
He married Dona Stegman July 22, 1989. She survives.
He was a dedicated meat cutter who served at Obholz Meats, Ideal, Boogarts, and Dillons for 28 years.
He loved his family and was the life of the party, and always knew how to make someone laugh. He loved his Chiefs, casinos, and EBAY. He also loved fishing even though he didn’t always catch any fish.
Survivors include three sons: Jason Obholz, and wife, Margaret, Brian Obholz, and wife, Yahaira, and Johnny Obholz, and wife, Rene; brother, Bruce Obholz; sister, Janice Caldwell and husband, Bernie; 12 grandchildren: Andrew Perez, Lola Perez, Zach Bronson, Leslie Obholz, Dylan Fisher, Devon Obholz, Dacee Obholz, Dason Obholz, Brennan Obholz, Jaide Hightower, Baylor Hightower, and Jensyn Obholz; five great-grandchildren: Penelope Perez, Natalie Branson, Ezra Bronson, Tavious Obholz, and Xadi Obholz; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Larry Obholz Sr., Jamey Obholz, and Jack Obholz; and sister, Kathy Allen.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 1510 N. Calhoun Avenue in Liberal.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal, with Reverend Charles Seiwert presiding.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in Offerle, with Reverend Benjamin Green presiding.
