HUGOTON – Wesley Dean Roehr, 93, died Saturday, July 6, 2024 at his home in Hugoton. 

He was born Jan. 6, 1931 to Paul and Estella (Hagaman) Roehr.   

He married Betty Jean” Tillie” Tilson Sept. 18, 1949. She survives.

When he wasn’t farming, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, driving in the mountains, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

He was a USD 210 board member, an active member of the First United Methodist Church, and received the Stevens County Soil Conservation Award.

Survivors also include three daughters: Kerry Frederick and husband, Jim, Kathy Hamlin and husband, Dennis, and Dana Priddy, and husband, Lance; brothers, Paul Roehr, and Robert Roehr; five grandchildren: Ryan Hamlin, Candee Archuleta, Jamee Mason, Tanner Priddy, and Taran Priddy; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Marlene Norris.

• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the United Methodist Church in Hugoton, with Pastor Wesley Young and Pastor Pam Peachey presiding. 

Burial will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton. 

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Pheasant Heaven Charities in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 920 E. 11th St. Hugoton, KS 67951.
