Travis Lee Pitts, 48, died Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in Ingalls.
He was born Feb. 27, 1976 to Terry and Roxie (Albers) Pitts.
He married Jodi Colleen Wright April 6, 2013. She survives.
He pursued his academic goals at Garden City Community College where he earned his associate's degree and being on the Bronc Buster Rodeo Team, before completing his bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Fort Hays State University.
His career at Irsik & Doll Feedyard was emblematic of his hard work and passion. Starting as a tank washer, he climbed the ranks to become the Assistant Feedyard Manager and was known as a great leader.
He was a member of Pierceville Federated Church.
He enjoyed supporting his twin sons Jaxson and Tryan in all their endeavors include soccer, 4-H, and rodeoing.
He was a member of the United States Team Roping Association and American Quarter Horse Association. He dedicated much of his time to Young Guns Rodeo Association.
Survivors also include his twin sons, Jaxson and Tryan Pitts; father, Terry Pitts and companion, Sandra Jantz; sister, Melissa Vander Hamm and her husband, Scott; mother-in-law, Laurie Wright; brother-in-law, Jarett Wright and wife Emily; special nieces and nephews including Jhett, Logan, Lily, and Theo; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and father-in-law, Jim Wright
• Celebration of Life services took place Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
Burial took place at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
Memorials are suggested to the Pitts Twin Education Fund or TP Legacy Fund, in the care of Robson Funeral Home, 620 N. Main Street, Garden City, KS.
