A Guymon, Okla., man is dead following a fatality accident Tuesday night in Woodward County, Okla.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 1998 Ford F150 was southbound on U.S. Highway 270 at South Woodward County Road 206 about three miles southeast of Woodward, Okla.

OHP said the driver failed to negotiate the curve the right, and the pickup departed the roadway to the left, entering the median. The vehicle overcorrected, re-entering the wrong way and then departed the roadway to the right, entering a broad slide.

OHP said the pickup overturned one and a half times, ejecting the driver and came to rest on its top facing south.

The driver, 34-year-old Abraham B. Robledo of Guymon, was transported by Woodward EMS to Integris Health Woodward Hospital. He was pronounced dead by hospital staff due to injuries sustained in the collision.

Robledo’s condition at the time of the accident and the cause of the accident are both under investigation. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
