K-State Research and Extension Wild West District

 

A K-State Weed Management School will be Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Seward County Activity Center, 810 Stadium Ave. in Liberal.

This free agronomy informational meeting is sponsored by K-State Research and Extension and Keating Tractor of Liberal.

Topics and speakers will include:

Weed Identification: Pat Geier, KSU Weed Scientist from the Garden City experiment station.

• Weather Influences & Herbicides: Pat Geier, KSU Weed Scientist.

• Perennial Grass Control in Cropland: Dr. Jeremy Kouame, KSU Weed Scientist from Hays.

• Robots & Precision Technologies for Weed Management: Dr. Deepak Joshi, KSU Precision Agriculture Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist, from Manhattan.

This meeting will provide producers with information to use in their field crop weed control programs, including the latest technologies on precision applications and the role of robotics.

A barbecue lunch will be provided courtesy of Keating Tractor of Liberal.
