Everyone is invited to come learn more about Operation Christmas Child and how to become involved in sharing the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with children and their families around the world.
Guest speaker Jon Beckett will share stories of the “Journey of the Shoebox.” He will highlight how these gospel opportunities are making an eternal kingdom impact all over the globe.
Beckett serves as the regional director for the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Lower Midwest Region, which includes Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and most of Illinois.
Ministry updates and information and free shoeboxes and promotional materials for each church and group represented will be provided. Door prizes will be given at events on Saturday, Aug. 23, happening at the following times and locations:
• Sublette Southern Baptist Church, 901 W. Lark Ave., with brunch starting at 9:30 a.m. and the event going from 10 a.m. to noon; and
• Sunset Lane Baptist Church, 1515 N. Sunset Lane, Guymon, Okla., with the event going from 2 to 4 p.m.
Events will also take place Sunday, Aug. 24, at the following locations:
• Trinity Faith Church, 2264 S. Kansas Ave., Liberal, with the event running from 9 to 9:30 a.m.;
• Balko Baptist Church, 129973 EW 26 Road, at 11 a.m.; and
• First Christian Church, 201 N. Central, Coldwater, at 6 p.m.
