Three individuals were taken to the hospital, and one is in serious condition following an accident Thursday afternoon in Texas County, Okla.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported around 5 p.m. Thursday, a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and 2018 Chevy Colorado were eastbound on U.S. Highway 64 about 11 miles north and six miles west of Goodwell, Okla.

OHP said the Crosstrek attempted to make a U-turn, with the Colorado striking the Crosstrek on the driver’s side, causing the Subaru to roll one-quarter time and come to rest on its driver’s side. The Chevy departed the roadway to the left coming to rest in the ditch.

The Crosstrek’s driver, 42-year-old Feather A. Metsch of Tulsa, Okla., was transported by Guymon, Okla., EMS to the Guymon airport. She was transferred by Apollo Evac to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas, where she was listed in serious condition with hip, back, neck and arm injuries.

The Colorado’s driver, Kathryn E. Maravilla, 25, of Guymon was taken to Memorial Hospital of Texas County by personal vehicle. She was treated and released, as a 1-year-old child from Guymon.

OHP said seat belts were in use in both vehicles.
