LETTER TO THE EDITOR,  Reita Isaacs Liberal

After restarting how I wanted to begin this letter, I settled on going back eight days of my life where it included accomplishments, carelessness, embarrassments, fun, and five full days away on a ranch; which I had no contact with Sirius radio, no tv, and no one that had any interest on either local or national politics.

Can you believe such a thing?

Good thing I stayed in a home that had huge windows in every room — one in particular where we watched the sunrise across the wildlife preserve, with coffee and binoculars in hand, in anticipation of seeing some deer or turkey.

Once I recovered from the trauma, the local politics and current level of crime have brought me out of “keeping my mouth shut.”

By now, most of you are aware of the local self-described violent crime gang in Liberal and all of the atrocities they’ve committed. I don’t know if they’re illegals, white, black or pee-green pink, they were not part of what we ascribe to our community.

You can blame this on O’Biden starting the influx of criminals and being soft on crime, but it’s here for us losing our safety and piece of mind.

This is not the first time I’ve addressed our elected officials openly supporting the invasion of illegals, but actively going against being caught and deported. Front-page coverage of how so many are bragging on how they can get by with breaking the federal law created to protect our legal citizens. Did we, or did we not, elect these people to serve our community and follow the laws of the land to protect us and our land?

Up until recently, my friends and I just complained to each other and did nothing. This will cause a lot of hate and backlash, but I am advocating for Ms. Vazquez and Mayor Lara to be voted off our City Commission. See you.
