Liberal Wrestling Club took 12 wrestlers to Salina March 9. The Heartland Dual Team Qualifiers and 6U State took place at Tony’s Pizza Events Center.

Kendall Mosttler, a first year wrestler, took third place for Girls 6U State. She finished the 6U State tournament with two pins on the day. She has 27 pins and one tech fall for the season. Other results from the day are as follows:

6U Boys:

Jacob Baeza, one pin; Jahziel Baeza Riggins Carter Easton Lopez, two pins; and Alijah Salas.

Each year, Kansas hosts the Heartland Dual Team Qualifiers. This year Liberal had six individuals try for the teams but they fell a little short.

 

Heartland Dual Team Qualifiers:

Cesar Almazan Iovani Chavez, two pins; Iker Hernandez; Elias Holcomb, two pins; Marco Jimenez; and Carter Madsen.
