The Lady Redskins only played seven innings of softball in Hugoton Thursday, but it was enough to gather two road wins.
The Lady Redskins started the day with a four-inning 21-2 win.
Zoey Torres started in the circle and allowed two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out five in three innings.
Haiden Lyon pitched a scoreless fourth inning despite walking two and ended up striking out the side.
Torres led the Lady Redskins at the plate with four hits including two home runs and a double. She had five RBIs.
Taylor Harding had three hits including a home run and three RBIs.
Lyon had two hits including a home run and two RBIs.
Viviana Favila had three hits including a home run and an RBI.
Liberal had five home runs as a team and belted out 20 hits. The Lady Redskins used an 11-run third inning to put the game out of reach.
Freshman Devaney Carter pitched Game 2 and only needed three innings to get the 21-2 win.
Carter allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out one in three innings.
The Lady Redskins took advantage of eight walks and 10 hits including home runs by Harding and Lexi Miller.
McKenna Alexander and Harding each had a two-hit game, and Miley Janko had a triple and three RBIs.
The win moved Liberal to 5-6 on the season.
The Lady Redskins will travel to Garden City for a single game Tuesday before returning to Liberal for a double header with the Lady Buffaloes Thursday.
