The Lady Redskin volleyball team snapped a six-match losing streak with a 3-1 win over Guymon Tuesday night in The Big House.

Liberal opened the season with losses to Salina Central and Wichita East before scoring a win over Wichita Heights Aug. 30.

Since then, the Lady Redskins have struggled with losses to Wichita North, Hutchinson, Haysville Campus, Garden City, Great Bend and a close home loss to Lamar, Colo., a week ago in a five sets.

Tuesday, Liberal hosted Guymon and opened the match with a dominating 25-11 win in the first set.

But a slow start in Set 2 gave the Lady Tigers momentum, and despite a late push, the Lady Redskins dropped the set 25-20.

The Lady Redskins found their footing in Set 3 and took a 2-1 lead with a 25-18 win.

The Lady Redskins were able to score the win with a 25-21 win in Set 4 for the 3-1 match final.

The Lady Redskins will return to The Big House Saturday to house their annual tournament beginning at 8 a.m.
