The LHS girls tennis team competed in the Great Bend Classic tennis tournament and finished in sixth with 29 points.
Individual placers include:
No. 1 Singles - Evelin Tarango went 3-1 taking third
No. 2 Singles - Isabella Rodriguez Diaz went 1-2 taking 13th
No. 1 Doubles - Lynette Alonso and Giselle Mesta went 2-2 taking 4th
No. 2 Doubles - Maliha Navarro and Yvanna Rivera went 2-2 taking 6th
Lady Red would finish third overall out of 8 teams.
“The girls played very well and had a great start to the day,” Liberal coach Sergio Borjas said. “We picked up great, tough wins but we weren't able to finish in key moments.”
