The Redskins and Lady Redskins started the season with a three-game event in Salina, and the results were opposite.

The Redskins opened the season with a 64-42 loss to Salina South, and then had a competitive game against Campus. The Redskins had a fourth quarter lead against the Colts but fell 53-49. The Redskins finished the three-game event with a 66-47 loss the McPherson.
The Lady Redskins opened the season with a 52-44 win over Salina South and followed that with a 50-31 win over Haysville Campus.
The Lady Redskins moved to 3-0 with a 53-48 win over McPherson.
Liberal travels to Hays today to face the Indians to open the Western Athletic Conference portion of the season.
Liberal will host the season opener Friday when the Redskins and Lady Redskins host Wichita North. The Lady Redskins tip off at 5:30 p.m.
