Carolyn “Sue” Falke, 87, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born April 10, 1937 to Herman George and Maddie (Jones) Hitchcock.
She married David Lee Falke in October 1975 in Dalhart, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2018.
She worked for many years as a cashier at Ideal Foods and Dart Inn in Liberal.
She liked to sit on her front porch and wave to everyone with her dog, Lilly.
She loved to read, and watch cowboy westerns.
Sue is survived by sons, Doug Harrison, and Mark Harrison and wife, Sue; stepdaughter, Carla Sue Falke; brother, Franklin Hitchcock; grandchildren, Brian Mark Harrison and wife, Brittney, and Danielle Lynn Devlin and husband, John; and eight great-grandchildren: Brian Jr., Taylor, Aubrey, Ava, Brynn and Bentley Harrison, and Carter and Harper Devlin.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; nine brothers; and four sisters.
• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2024 at First Southern Baptist Church at 621 N. Western Avenue in Liberal, with Pastor Jack Jacob presiding.
