Barbara Jean Jantzen, 93, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024 at Homestead Estates.
She was born March 5, 1931 to Roy and Maude (Ferguson) Smith.
She married Merlin Jantzen Aug. 8, 1948. He preceded her in death March 22, 2020.
She was a graduate of Kismet High School.
She owned and operated J&J Outlet.
She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, sewing, and was active with the Folk Art Festivals.
She was also a pianist and taught piano lessons for many years.
Survivors include son, Leslie Jantzen and wife, Jana, Liberal; daughter, Linda Poe and husband, Kenneth, Stillwater, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Zigg Smith; and sisters, Nadine Wyrick and Faye Shirley.
• Graveside services took place Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024 at Restlawn Cemetery, with Pastor Rex Petty presiding.
