JOHNSON – Shirley L. Brown, 77, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024 at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson.
She was born Jan. 1, 1947 to Cecil and Dorothy (Oldham) Thompson.
She married Clois Henry Brown July 14, 1963. He preceded her in death.
She drove the school bus, drove truck during harvest, worked at Faith Baptist Church and The Johnson Pioneer.
Survivors include her children: Steven Brown and Vanessa Trujillo, Johnson, Alicia and husband, Brian Cox, Plains, and David Brown, Portland, Ore.; brother, Sam Thompson; eight grandchildren; and six great-great- grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
• Funeral services took place Monday, Dec. 23, 2024 with Pastor David Phillips presiding.
Burial took place at the Stanton County Cemetery.
