Sharon May Kessler, 65, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025.
She was born Nov. 17, 1959 to Robert and Zola Kessler.
She was a graduate of Liberal High School.
As a teenager, she enjoyed playing softball and was very talented in this sport.
One of Sharon’s favorite hobbies was fishing, and she enjoyed many fishing expeditions with various family members throughout her lifetime.
She spent many hours crocheting and gave many of the completed projects as gifts.
She enjoyed sitting at the piano and playing made-up tunes, singing, trips to the Lee Richardson Zoo, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, entering exhibits in the 5 State Fair, and being outside.
Her lifelong love of cats was evident as she was the proud owner of several throughout her life.
Sharon attended the South Church of God for many years.
Survivors include her father; brother, Kevin Kessler and wife, Colleen, Liberal; sisters, Karen Small, Liberal, and Robin Witzke and husband, Bill, Holcomb; nine nieces and nephews: Tyson Small, Brittany Ranasinghe (Kaveen), Ryan Witzke (MacKenzie), Madison Thompson (Jaron), Kaden Kessler (Lindsey), Courtney Moore (Dylan), Cristyn Kessler (Shane), Cathryn Kessler, and Cayleigh Kessler; and great-nieces and great-nephews: Opal Mac Thompson, Rawlin Wayne Kessler, Liberty Zola Kessler, Krishantha Sahan Ranasinghe, and Arlo Alan Jay Moore
She is preceded in death by her mother.
• A private family graveside service will take place at the Liberal City Cemetery at a later date.
