Donice Mae Medina, 67, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in Hugoton.
She was born June 16, 1957 to Moises and Pauline (Leal) Arellano.
She married Michael "Taco" Medina January 10, 1976. He preceded her in death.
She found joy in cooking, dancing, and listening to a diverse range of music.
She was also well-known for her love of games and arts, often spreading her creativity.
As Athletic Director's Assistant at Hugoton High School, her career began with many years at Premier Alfalfa, where she not only honed her professional skills but also earned the respect and admiration of her coworkers.
She was an influential member of various local organizations, including serving as a Girl Scout Leader and engaging in initiatives such as blood drives, charity dinners, city council endeavors, volunteering for cancer walks, and heart associations.
She was a member of St. Helen's Church and the First Church of God.
Survivors include son, Seth Medina; brothers, Moses Arellano and wife, Gloria, and Phillip Arellano and partner, Eloy; four sisters: Lita Talbert and husband, Ray, Ruby Watkins, Mary Romero and husband, Tom, and Shirley Hale; grandchildren, Teddy Stewart and Kathleen Medina; and many other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Aidreah Medina.
• Celebration of Life services took place Saturday, March 15, 2025 at First Church of God in Hugoton.
Burial took place at the Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton.
