Winona Hull, 86, died Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.
She was born Oct. 8, 1938 to Grant and Ester (Ogan) Apsley in Oklahoma City.
She was raised as a Southern Baptist Faith and her faith served as a guiding light throughout her life, instilling in her values of compassion and kindness.
She graduated from Hugoton High School.
She worked as a teletype operator for the Western Union, and later as a composition operator for the Hugoton Hermes newspaper.
She also worked as a part-time clerk at the Rolla Post Office and found joy in serving others as a paraprofessional for USD 480.
Beyond her career, she embraced being a loving homemaker, devoted mother, and grandmother.
She belonged to the Toastmistress International Club to become a more effective communicator and leader.
Survivors include three sons: Stephen McKee (Karol), Duncan, Okla., Brian McKee (fiancée, Jeanine Clithero), Rolla, and Wesley Hull (Kay), Spearman, Texas; daughter, Lorrie Munsell (Doug), Ulysses; brother, Johnny Apsley, El Dorado; four grandchildren: Wacey Munsell, Baleigh Weil (Clay), Darcy McKee (Kyrié), and Shelby Hull; five great-grandchildren: Jennings Weil, Iyla Weil, Gus McKee, Talyn Hull, and Ella Cummings; five grafted-by-love grandchildren: Amanda Baxter, Robert Williams (Samantha), Colt McCargish, Maegen Smith, and Haley Morris (Chris); and grafted-by-love great-grandchildren: Ace McCargish, Rebeka, Maxton, Kloey Morris, James Wilson, Kyra, Devon, Zack, Kleyah, and Jaylon Baxter, Talina, Terah, and Karlee Jo Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Chris Apsley; aunt, Norma Edens; nephew, Cavin Apsley; and great-grandson, Silas Smith.
• A private family graveside service will take place at Restlawn Cemetery in Liberal at a later date, with Pastor James Berry of Countryview Baptist Church in Ulysses presiding.
