Janet Fay Mongold, 65, died Sunday, June 15, 2025 at her home in Liberal.
She was born May 18, 1960 to Alvis and Esther (Shultz) Springmeyer.
She married Richard Mongold in 1979. He survives.
She graduated from Tyrone High School with the Class of 1978.
She worked for Weatherford.
After leaving Weatherford, she became a stay-at-home wife, mom and, later, a proud and loving grandmother.
She loved to dance with Richard, especially when surrounded by family and friends.
She enjoyed the quiet challenge of crossword puzzles and had a soft spot for Sonic hamburgers and ice-cold Cokes, always with extra ice.
Survivors also include daughter, Kenya Lynn (Felipe) Darbyshire; brother, Karl Springmeyer; sisters, Kim (Tommy) Painter, and Vicki (Steve) Austin; grandsons, Aiden Kayne and Evan Lee Darbyshire; brother-in-law, Mike (Julie) Mongold; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Ed Brown; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
