Donetta S. Dreitz, 76, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025 at Northwest Hospital in Bentonville, Ark.
She was born Nov. 12, 1948 to Harold and Mary (Langacher) Lambert in Liberal.
She graduated from Southwestern Heights High School with the Class of 1966. She also attended Fort Hays University. She returned to school at Friends University, where she earned her bachelor's degree.
She married Joe Dreitz Jr. Dec. 6, 1975. He survives.
She was a full-time farm wife for many years, and she enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
In 1984, she went to work at Dekalb where she worked for 15 years. She then went on to work as an assistant in the registrar office of Seward County Community College. She later became the college registrar where she worked until retirement.
She was a lifelong member of the Calvary Mennonite Church before moving to Rogers, Arkansas with her husband in 2013.
Survivors also include son, Jeremy Dreitz (Kerri), Liberal; daughter, Lana Dreitz, Rogers, Ark.; siblings, Carolyn Kay Arrowsmith (Howard) and Larry Joe Lambert (Anna Marie); granddaughter, Jaden Toto (Noah); step-grandchildren: Kirsten Ross, William (Bo) Ross and Hunter Huskey; and step-great-grandchildren, Knox and Blaze Peralta; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, June Langacher; and step-great-grandson, Jaxon Peralta.
• Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025 at Rollins Funeral Home at 1401 Hudson Road in Rogers, Ark.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 27, 2025 at Hornung Funeral Home at 1212 W. 2nd Street in Liberal.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025 at Calvary Mennonite Church at 831 S. New York Avenue in Liberal, with burial to follow at the Kismet Cemetery in Kismet.
