ULYSSES – Mario Rodriguez, 77, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born Oct. 30, 1947 to Jose De La Luz Ayala and Jesus Hernandez Rodriguez.
In 1970, he traveled from Mexico to Colorado where he met the love of his life, Linda Sanchez.
He was a devout member of the Catholic Church.
He worked most of his adult life in the oilfield business. When he wasn’t working, he loved hanging out with his family and friends.
He loved to sing and play the guitar and accordion.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Rodriguez, Ulysses; children, Eric Archuleta and wife, Rozella, Ulysses, and Dana Sanchez, Ulysses; six grandchildren: Eric Archuleta and wife, Alyssa, Wichita, Melissa Grissom and husband, Will, Wichita, Melanie Ramos and husband, Octavio, Ulysses, Chris Guerrero, Ulysses, Evette Ochoa and husband, Adrian, Ulysses, and David Guerrero and wife, Shelly, Garden City; and 17 great-grandchildren.
• The family will have a private burial at a later date.
