Phyllis D. Ann Eaton, 88, died Friday, Sept. 26, 2025 at her home north of Liberal.
She was born Sept. 20, 1937 to Fred and Ruby (Rhiness) Smith.
She worked for 15 years at the Et Cetera Shop, where she worked in the receiving and sorting area.
Before working at the Et Cetera Shop, she worked at the south Pizza Hut as a manager for 10 years.
She enjoyed nature, gardening, antiquing, and attending estate sales.
She loved animals and would care for many over the years at her home.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Jane Gray (Kelly) and Brenda Lindquist; seven grandchildren: Matthew Gray, Erica Gray, Blacke Whan, Alyssa Allen, Shannon Rich, Jessica Ober, and Katrina Jones; and many more family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas Whan; daughter, Debra Jones; three grandchildren: Tyler (Shrek) Boland, Chris Jones, and baby David; great-grandchild, baby Chase; three brothers: Lloyd Smith, Lewis (Smitty) Smith, and Delose (Bus) Smith; sisters, Mari Helen Anderson and Alice (Baby Alice) Smith; daughter-in-law, Marilee Smith; and brother-in-law, Bob Anderson.
o Per Phyllis's wishes there will be no public viewing.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 at Banner Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at Miller Mortuary to follow in procession to Banner Cemetery, with the procession leaving at 10:30 a.m.
The family has set up an account at Community Bank for memorial donations to help aid with a "Spay & Neuter Drive."
