ULYSSES – Linda Kuhn, 76, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Ulysses.
She was born Aug. 23, 1949 to Harlan and Lillian (Warren) Skare.
She was married to Tony Stever and Lee Wright before marrying JR Kuhn Nov. 30, 1991 in Ulysses.
She was a hardworking woman, employed at Gibson’s, The Alamo, and C+, and she also helped with farming and co-operated JR’s Glass Shop.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed attending their sporting events. She could often be found driving around town, grabbing Sonic drinks, or singing to her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, JR, of their home; daughters, Barbie Norton and husband, Ken, Olathe, and Toni Maree Irvin, Ulysses; son, Steven Dale Stever and wife, Tanya, Elkhart; grandchildren: Samantha Haugen and husband, Shane, Zachary Irvin, Jacob Irvin, Amber Harris, Eryn Moland, Michaela Burkhart, and McKenzie, Lucas and Tristan Navarrette; great-grandchildren: Tate and Rhett Haugen, Lydia and Alysa Moland, Ethan and Isla Burkhart; and niece, Bobbi Jo Higgs and husband, Steve.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gladys Lauer; brother, Richard Skare; and nephew and niece, Tom and Denise Lauer.
• Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025 at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses, with Pastor Steve Swann Jr. presiding.
Burial will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses.
