Janice Louise Bagg, 80, died Oct. 19, 2025 at her home near Longdale, Okla.  

She was born May 1, 1945 to Charles and Mayme (Montgomery) Parkins-Whetstone in Fairview, Okla.

She grew up in Liberal.  

She married Glenn Bagg Nov. 29, 1968. He survives.

She stayed busy raising her family and enjoying many hobbies and volunteer work.  She enjoyed making macrame and ceramics.  

She bowled on a league for many years, and enjoyed bowling trips.  She also volunteered many hours with the women’s auxiliary of VFW Post 3166 in Liberal.  

She enjoyed her many flower beds and reading detective novels.

Survivors also include son, Richard Bagg, Wichita; daughter, Cindy Scott and her husband, L.J. Scott, Hooker, Okla.; brothers, C. L. Parkins, and Steve Parkins; five sisters: Lela Tindall, Laura Ann Cravens, Charlene Parkins, Patricia (Patty) Brown, and Della Ferguson; grandchildren, Stormy Taylor, and Derrik Daugherty and wife, Ashley; five great-grandchildren, Sadie Wilson Scott, Shaddow Taylor, Justin, Wallace, and Dylan Daugherty; and many other family and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charlie (Lucky) Parkins; and infant sister, Rosellen Parkins.

• Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025 at the VFW in Liberal. 

Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. in Fairview, Okla.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
