PLAINS – Linda Sue Carrillo, 65, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born Aug. 3, 1960 to Buster and Betty Jo (Carson) Cook.
She married Jose Carrillo June 3, 1978. He survives.
She graduated from Springfield High School in Springfield, Colo. in 1978.
She was a custodian for the Sublette Elementary School.
She was a member of the Iglesia Evangelica Christiana Espiritual Church.
She enjoyed volunteering, being a caregiver, and spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors also include son, Jeffrey Carrillo, Grand Rapids, Mich.; daughter, Felicia Carrillo, Plains; three brothers: Mike, Johnny, and James Cook; sister, Betty Jean Thys; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Aron Carrillo; and sister, Katherine Cook.
• Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 at the Plains Community Building in Plains.
Burial will follow at the Plains Cemetery in Plains.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade.
