Betty Lavonne Meador, 94, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025 in Watonga, Okla.

She was born Nov. 28, 1931 to Melvin and Myrl (Stebbins) Frazier.

She graduated from high school in Ingalls as valedictorian.

She married Roy Meador Oct. 2, 1949. He preceded her in death.

After 40 years of being a homemaker, she and Roy became house parents at Youthville in Dodge City. While working at Youthville, they made a tremendous impact on many lives before returning to Satanta.

She enjoyed reading books, doing crosswords, and spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Satanta Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the UMW and YO Club.

Survivors include sons, Roy Meador and wife, Susan, Augusta, and Paul Meador and wife, Lisa, Watonga, Okla.; daughters, Sandy Bradford and husband, Jerry, Liberal, and Deb Meador and companion, Mike Hooper, Sublette; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Delores Frazier, Carlene Wendel, and Crystal Denton; and grandson, Bobby Proctor.

• Funeral services took place Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 at the Satanta Methodist Church in Satanta.

Burial took place at the Dudley Township Cemetery in Satanta, with arrangements handled by Robson Funeral Home.
