MEADE – Pastor Kenneth W.G. Kramer, 90, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 at the Meade District Hospital in Meade.
He was born Feb. 13, 1935 in Highland Park, Ill.
He married Alona Whidden Nov. 23, 1960. She preceded him in death.
He attended Augustana High School and then went on to Augustana College, graduating in 1957. He later moved to International Falls, Minn. to become a pastor. He then graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. in 1961 and he and Alona went on to serve a several parishes throughout the next 60 years.
He enjoyed reading, history, trivia, classical music and gardening.
Survivors include his sons, Tim (Ann) Kramer, Dunn, N.C., and Jim (Leann) Kramer, Meade; daughters, Sarah Kramer, Meade, and Joanne (Jerry) Bessler, Plymouth, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Erik; brother, Bill; and his parents.
o Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dewitt, Neb.
Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery Dewitt, Neb.
