Dorothy Velasquez Millen, 84, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 at Good Samaritan Society in Liberal.
She was born Oct. 28, 1941 to Alfonso and Mary (Fuentes) Velasquez.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino.
She enjoyed working at the Petroleum Club, Elks Lodge, and as a paraprofessional in the Liberal school system.
She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal.
Survivors include children: Debbie Furr, Mark Kneeland, and Mona Riddle and husband, Brian; siblings: Irene, Shirley, Maxine, Tommy, Bobby, Abel, and Joe; grandchildren: Shane, Sean, Shanna, Justin, Jordan, Jandi, Josh, Nicole, and Crystal; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Brigitte for all of her support and care.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Viola; and brother, Raymond.
• Funeral Mass took place Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 1510 N Calhoun Ave. in Liberal.
Burial took place at the Liberal City Cemetery in Liberal.
