Glenna Alice Nix, 94, died Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Pioneer Manor in Hugoton.
She was born Dec. 29, 1929 to Elmer and Lucille Munkres.
She married Paul Nix Sept. 4, 1948. He preceded her in death in 2014.
She graduated from Liberal High School in 1948.
She was a member of Lone Star Friends Church.
She enjoyed china painting, sewing, embroidering, cooking, baking, canning, gardening, and planting flowers.
Survivors include sons, Dennis Nix and wife, Jolene, Olathe, and David Nix and wife, Kathy, Hugoton; sister, Rosa Adams; grandchildren: Melissa Nix, and Driscoll Nix and wife, Shauna; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Holly; five sisters: Janice, Bernice, Phyllis, Sue and Norma; and three brothers: Cleele, James and Robert.
• Per Glenna's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
A memorial has been established for Lone Star Friends Church, in the care of Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
