Ronnie Helsel, 70, died Monday, June 10, 2024 at his home in Liberal.
He was born Aug. 5, 1953 to Gerald and Virginia (Booth) Helsel.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1971.
He started his career at Beechcraft in Wichita.
He returned to Liberal and worked for Seward County Waste Management and after several years of service, he retired as an equipment operator.
He found joy in hunting, camping, fishing, and spending time at his cabin. He also had a fondness for golf.
Survivors include his sister, Rhonda McAdams; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
• Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2024 at the Believer’s Ministry at 1071 S. Clay Avenue in Liberal, with Pastor Dalkey Davis presiding.
Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Restlawn Cemetery.
