Pearline West, 73, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Born on October 4, 1950, in Lubbock, Texas, Pearline lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Pearline graduated from Liberal High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and developed a passion for learning.
She was an avid movie enthusiast, particularly fond of Westerns and the legendary Elvis Presley. Pearline’s love for these films brought joy and entertainment to her life and those around her.
A woman of deep faith, Pearline accepted Christ as her Savior. Her favorite scripture was John 16:33: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
Pearline was preceded in death by her loving parents, Brack and Pearlie Mae West; her beloved sisters, Kathleen McGhee and Ollie Bell Milton; and her dear sons, Kent West and Levone Madden Jr.
She is survived by her brothers: Clifford West, Brack West, and Gary West; her devoted sisters, Virginia West and Sylvia Chapman; and her cherished daughter Michelle Butler.
Throughout her life, Pearline was known for her warm heart, her resilience, and her unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
• A memorial service to celebrate Pearline’s life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Bibleway Church of God in Christ at 410 E. 8th Street in Liberal.
Pearline’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
