Kimberly Kay Schmidt, 63, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024 in Wichita.
She was born April 20, 1961 in Hutchinson.
She married Loren Schmidt Dec. 8, 2008. He survives.
She graduated from Hutchinson High School in Hutchinson.
She served as a Certified Assistant (CNA) a nursing home in Hutchinson for 14 years.
She had a talent for crocheting and shared a love for gardening with her husband.
Survivors also include her mother Carmen Tenorio and stepfather Alberto; daughter, Carissa Chambers; brothers, Joseph Boshears and wife, Jennifer, and Edward Boshears and wife, Shelley; granddaughter, Aslyn Chambers; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Alvin Boshears; and son, Brandon Chambers.
• Funeral services took place Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024.
Burial took place at Golden Cemetery in Ulysses.
A memorial has been established for Country View Baptist Church, in care of Robson Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Ulysses, KS 67880.
