Drivers of three vehicles avoided injuries in an accident Wednesday afternoon in west Liberal.

The Liberal Police Department reported shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday, offers and emergency personnel responded to a non-injury accident at the intersection of West Pancake Boulevard and South Pershing Avenue.

“Through investigation, officers determined a gray 2018 Buick Enclave was traveling west on Pancake Boulevard, when a black 2015 Chevrolet Malibu ran the red light, causing the Buick to strike the Chevrolet,” the LPD release said. “After the initial collision, the Chevrolet then struck a gray 2016 Mercedes C-Class.”

The release said no injuries were reported.

“The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was issued citations for running a red light and driving without a license or expired license,” the release said. “Due to extensive damage, both the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Malibu were towed from the scene.”
