Southwest Medical Center

Southwest Medical Center (SWMC) administrators and Southwest Medical Center Foundation members gathered Tuesday, May 21 for a significant check presentation at the medical center.

The SWMC Foundation has generously donated $315,000 this year to support capital improvement projects throughout Southwest Medical Center’s facilities.

“Since 2015, the SWMC Foundation has donated more than $1.9 million dollars toward capital improvements at the hospital,” Southwest Medical Center CEO Amber Williams said. “These funds will be used for renovations to the facility’s towers and windows. Southwest Medical Center remains the only county-owned, not-for-profit community hospital in the state of Kansas that has not levied any taxpayer dollars for support. Our hospital, established in 1964, is dedicated to providing quality healthcare close to home for patients in Liberal and many surrounding communities.”

The generous donation from the SWMC Foundation will significantly contribute to the enhancement and modernization of the hospital’s infrastructure, ensuring that SWMC continues to offer elite healthcare services in a state-of-the-art environment.
