“I’m late, I’m late, I’m late for a very important date!”
Remember this cute little ditty from our past, even if we can’t place exactly where it occurred? Most people from the younger generations won’t have the foggiest of what I’m talking about, but Siri or some other device might help, if they’re interested. I honestly find even the cellphone too challenging for more than answering it when I’m doing something else with it at the time. Aggravating to my family and friends.
Now is where my feet go up, coffee in one hand, and gathering my thoughts for this article.
Stay with me as I want to share my own personal thoughts and opinions while knowing what wildly different reactions they generate. Remember, these are my own.
Liberal, Dodge City, and Garden City were all targeted at the same time, but we haven’t any ideas of why these particular individuals were chosen. Do you? Do you know any of them personally? Have you had them in your home for a meal or given them a ride somewhere? Would you have been personally willing to give up your freedom and lifestyle and security for even one of them?
It’s easy to give advice on what you think illegal immigrants (undocumented) are entitled to from the comfort of your own place in society, and you should have the right to express them, short of following through with denying ICE or the federal government from detaining them.
Stop and think about this — so far it appears only Hispanics are being targeted. Correct?
Did you offer the same evasion plan to the other non-Hispanics?
Like I said before about my own neighbors surrounding me; except for two young men (professionals), and their children, none have anything to do with me or my neighbor. Assimilate or isolate. Their choice. I have to brag on the fact these men have noticed a few things I needed help with and did without any fanfare. Yup. Two out of many makes a good start.
Let’s go back to the national political problem with (mostly Democrat) judges trying to overturn our constitutional laws by making heroes out of the designated terrorist gangs; demanding they have the right to be here, all of the privileges that should go only to legal Americans, due rights to time in court for appeal to remain where they don’t belong.
Okay, not everyone knows or cares the downfall of America started many years ago, not with just Biden and Obama, but let’s attempt to find and use some common sense.
I attend most City Commission meetings and think they’ve done a better job representing the city until Mayor Lara and Commissioner Vazquez openly encouraged American citizens to all but disregard laws designed to protect us and our nation.
Therefore, again I’m asking qualified men and women to sacrifice their time, energy, and some family activities to help our community survive and flourish by applying for the positions open on the commission. No one willing to take the chance will just let the same people be re-elected. Just sayin’.
