Donald Trump is a dictator who cancels the rights of people, or so that is what we’ve been told.

Any evidence of any American citizen having their rights suspended, however, has yet to be provided.

This is a common claim made by the far left which continues to drift into socialist territory, leaving a large swath of people in the middle who may not be fully aligned with conservative views but are being abandoned by the Democratic Party.

Chuck Norris, who was once a Democrat, said he has not changed his views or values, but the Democratic Party abandoned the views and values he had several years ago, and that is why he is no longer a Democrat.

One of the issues that the Democratic Party is championing, even though polls across the country show the overwhelming majority do not support, is the idea that boys can compete against girls in sports.

Most nationwide polls show this to be an almost 80-20 issue, with 80 percent of the country believing that girls sports should be reserved for biological females.

This isn’t hard. Even a large group of lesbian women believe that women’s sports should be protected against biological male involvement.

This one isn’t very hard.

But the socialist wing of the Democratic Party has usurped the positions of authorly within the party and are demanding compliance with all things LGBTQ, even when members of LGBTQ don’t support this position.

There has been no efforts to prevent a trans person fro getting a job, from serving in elected office, from dating whomever they want to date or from participating in any way in society.

The only place where there ahs been a line drawn is in defense of women’s sports.

For the socialist left to succeed, they have to be able to remove any lines on any issue no matter who opposes it.

People do not usually voluntarily choose to give up a higher quality of life for a lower one, but socialists have to convince you that you are believing in a system that doesn’t work, that holds you back, and they use issues like trans athletes in women’s sports as their way of pretending to stand for a “marginalized” group. The problem is they are standing for a “marginalized” group against what has always been considered another “marginalized” group.

I refute the notion of marginalization altogether, but one way we have overcome unfairness is by creating equal athletic opportunities for girls that boys have.

It has now become the battleground of identity politics, and the far left has made this their civil rights issue, expecting women to step back and make room for men to dominate them in athletics.

Which brings us back to dictatorial behavior.

In Maine, Republican Laurel Libby who represents the 90th District in the State Legislature, made a social media post chastising boys competing against girls.

The Democratic-led House took a vote to censure her for her post, and in addition to the party line vote 75-70 admonishing her for sticking up for women in sports, the Speaker of the House also stripped her of her vote in the House of Representatives.

Her post included the name of the trans athlete and a photo, both necessary to show the disparity that women face when competing against a male.

Across the nation names of these trans athletes and video of their competitions have been shared. We have witnessed boys breaking girls records in all kinds of events, and some girls have been injured in contact sports where males have physically caused harm.

One media outlet has been keeping track and has now concluded that about 1,000 records and medals have been claimed by boys in girls sports, erasing opportunities for girls across the country.

But in Maine, it is acceptable to force a legislator to apologize for her post and to use only language acceptable by the Democrats or have her district denied a voice in the House of Representatives.

They are coming for your votes next, but they will claim it is Trump who is the dictator, that we need civility in our language while calling people Nazis and racists. Do they censure voters for that? Has anyone in any state legislature controlled by Republicans been denied their ability to vote because they support trans athletes in girls sports?

Of course not. The freedom to disagree is what lawmaking is all about.

All different views head to state capitals across the country to have some real heated debates.

But not in Maine. No, you can’t even point out the issue on your own social media without losing your vote in the Legislature.

This is a socialist move, pure and simple.

I disagree with statements made locally by elected officials, but it is wrong to believe we should take their vote away because we disagree. That’s what elections are for.

But the way one side wins elections is by removing the ability to vote of the other.

Hillary Clinton called for reeducation programs for those who support Trump. It was mostly laughed off.

But this isn’t a joke.

Chances are the Maine Supreme Court won’t intervene because this is clearly a legislative issue, and to get her vote back. Rep. Libby will have to apologize and cede her freedom of speech.

And that’s how a nation falls.
