Question for Seward County Commissioner Wettstein:
It is important that voters understand why Commissioner C.J. Wettstein built a structure on his property knowing the building permit and building codes were required, yet he failed to obtain such a permit.
He expects the same of all other residents, why did he excuse himself of such requirements?
This issue has been verified by County Adminsitrator April Warden on July 8, 2024.
EDITOR’S NOTE — The agenda for the July 15 Seward County Commissioner’s meeting indicates Wettstein is asking the commissioners for a variance after Wettstein’s building permit application was denied by Seward County Planning and Zoming. The letter of denial was signed by Planning and Zoning Director Albert Gallegos June 21, 2024. Provided photos show the garage has already been built.
