There was no Thanksgiving hangover for the Seward County Community College women's basketball team. After an epic come-from-behind victory against No. 23 Butler Tuesday, followed by Thanksgiving break, the Lady Saints showed no sign of a letdown with an 82-57 win over the Pratt Beavers Saturday at the Greenhouse.

Seward extended its winning streak to three games, improving to 3-1 in conference play and 7-2 overall. The Lady Saints finish their non-conference schedule with a matchup against Otero today at 5:30 p.m. in the Greenhouse.

The Lady Saints jumped out to a 14-3 lead to start the game and never looked back. They held a 24-12 advantage after one quarter and opened a 48-28 margin at the half. Seward coasted the rest of the way.

Avery Marchino had 14 points and Ari Gordon and Biyyanah Ellis each netted 11 to lead four SCCC players in double-digit scoring.

La'Kyra Johnson led Pratt with 21 points and Kalani Brock added 14 points for the Beavers, who fell to 0-3 in the Jayhawk Conference and 5-4 overall.
