After playing four games on the road to start the 2025 season, the Lady Redskins softball team finally played in front of a home crowd Tuesday, and despite taking an early lead, the Lady Redskins fell short in an 11-2 loss.
Liberal pushed a run across the plate in the first inning and another in the second to take a 2-0 lead.
Great Bend was able to tie the game in the second with a pair of runs, but it was a six-run fourth for the Lady Panthers that made the difference.
Great Bend added three more in the sixth to put the game out of reach and secure the 11-2 win.
Taylor Harding led the Lady Redskins at the plate with two of Liberal’s six hits, and she scored a run.
Zoey Torres had a triple.
The loss dropped the Lady Redskins to 3-2 on the season, and the two teams will have a rematch in Great Bend with a double header today.
