Those looking for a friendly and reliable spot to get laundry services done now have just that with Fresh Pressed by Mahaya located at 2361 N. Kansas Ave.
Owner Lourdes Garibay said she is very excited to be in charge of the business.
“We took ownership Sept. 10, that’s when we started as the new owners. We purchased this business about two weeks ago. The business got offered to me, and I was thrilled with it. I really like what I do. I really like to take care of people's clothing. I worked as a in a laundromat back when I was in high school as a part timer, and then this business opened, and I thought it was a good way to start, working in a new business. It eventually got offered to me, I looked into it, and I thought it was a good place since Liberal only has this cleaner now. We also do service for people in surrounding communities, so I thought it was a good place.”
Garibay said she is looking forward to providing the service for people in Liberal and other surrounding communities.
“I'm very, very excited, and I hope I give a good service to everyone who comes through the doors,” Garibay said. “My main goal is to give a good service to the people and hopefully be able to grow. We do dry cleaning, we do pressing, starching, etc. We also do baskets where people bring in their baskets and we wash and fold everything. We also do pickups in some of the towns around the area because like I said, we want to help as many people as possible.”
Garibay said she hopes to have many clients coming through the doors.
“There are a lot of busy people around town, and there are a lot of people who don't have time to do laundry at their house, so that's why we offer different services for everyone,” Garibay said. “I know I'm pretty busy, so I can guarantee there are a lot of other people busy around town taking care of other necessities, and that's why we're doing what we do. We can guarantee to take care of your laundry and do our best to provide a good service, give a good quality of pressing and washing and making sure their clothes go back better than they came. And anyone who comes in, they just need to let us know what they need on each piece of clothing they’re bringing in, especially if it’s a material that needs some special care. We take care of it, and then they come and pick everything up the next day.”
Overall, Garibay said, she is looking forward to helping clients in the area.
“Anyone with any questions about what we do or anything else, they can call (620) 626-8100 or (620) 391-1233, and we’ll answer whatever questions they have,” Garibay said. “We want to provide a good service to the area, and I'm also excited to provide opportunities to my employees, and I think that's a good way to start everything off here so far.”
