JOHNSON – Darrel L. Vail, 76, died Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson. 

He was born Oct. 10, 1949 to Lyndell and Margie (Henderson) Vail. 

After graduating from Rolla High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served from August 1969 until April 1972. 

ULYSSES – Luis Angel Guaderrama, 23, died Saturday, March 28, 2026 in Ulysses. 

He was born Dec. 14, 2002 to Jesus and Guadalupe Guaderrama.

He graduated from Ulysses High School.

Ronald Gary Warden, known as Gary to all who knew and loved him, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the age of 89.

Born July 11, 1936 in Liberal to Harold and Blanche (Morris) Warden, Gary graduated from Liberal High School before continuing his education at Panhandle State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in horticulture and agronomy.

Gary married Karen Kilgore Dec. 28, 1988 and together, they raised eight children.

Joann “Jody” B. Hibbert, 91, died Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at The Shepherd Center in Cimarron.

She was born Sept. 27, 1934 to Gaylord and Dorothy Walker.

She completed 13 years of schooling and worked as a sales representative in mobile home sales. 

She married Neil J. Hibbert Dec. 15, 1951. He preceded her in death Dec. 4, 2015.
