A local middle school teacher is facing more than 30 counts of crimes against children.
Aaron Sullenger, a science teacher and football coach at Seymour Rogers Middle School, is facing charges of rape, human trafficking, and others, according to court records.
In the records, the first seven counts are for rape between Feb. 11 2023 and Feb. 11, 2024 as well as between Feb. 11, 2024 and May 30, 2024, with each count including prison time and fines.
The records also show seven counts of aggravated human trafficking that took place between Feb. 11, 2023 and Feb. 11, 2024 as well as between Feb. 11, 2024 and May 30, 2024 and between June 11, 2024 and Aug. 31, 2024.
Court records also show seven counts of aggravated kidnapping between Feb. 11, 2023 and Feb. 11, 2024 as well as between Feb. 11, 2024 and May 30, 2024 and between June 11, 2024 and Aug. 31, 2024.
The charges also include one count of aggravated criminal sodomy that took place between June 11, 2024 and Aug. 31, 2024, and two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child that took place between Feb. 11, 2023 and Feb. 11, 2024.

The final six counts are for contributing to a child’s misconduct or deprivation, which took place between Feb. 11, 2023 and May 30, 2024 as well as between Feb. 11, 2024 and Aug. 31, 2024 and between June 11, 2024 and Aug. 31, 2024.
Records also show Sullenger made his first court appearance May 14 and pleaded not guilty to all counts, and a scheduling conference is scheduled for June 1.
