David Lynn Hawk, 60, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026 at his home in Liberal.

He was born Nov. 19, 1965 to Harold Dean and Saundra (Hulcy) Hawk.

He graduated from Liberal High School with the Class of 1984.

He worked as a roustabout in the oilfield for many years.

He was an OU Sooners fan and a Green Bay Packers fan.

He also enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his children: Nevada Hawk, Norman, Okla., Cameron Hawk, Ravia, Okla., Joey Hawk, Tecumseh, Okla., and Hollie Hawk, Shawnee, Okla.; brothers, Billy Hawk, Liberal, and Danny Hawk, Hugoton; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas Roy Hawk; and sisters, Darla Hawk and Dena Sue Walsh.

• There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.

Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026 at the Miller Mortuary Chapel in Liberal.
