Robin James Hood, 85, died Monday, May 25, 2026.

He was born Dec. 20, 1940 to Robert and Ruby (Muggins) Hood.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964.

Throughout his life, he was a dedicated businessman involved in the oil and gas industry and other business ventures. Following his military service, he worked for many years at Hood Chevrolet before purchasing Ayr Lanes in 1975.

He enjoyed spending time driving around Hood Ranch, visiting the VFW, and sharing stories with anyone willing to listen.

Survivors include son, Robin Hood Jr.; sister, Lisa Hood and partner, David Anderson; grandsons: Tucker Hood, Keifer Hood and wife, Sommer, and Konner Hood and wife, McKensie; and great-grandchildren: Hudson Hood, Hayes Hood, Holt “Hilly” Hood, Tripp Hood, and Skylar Hood.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2026 at the Tyrone Cemetery in Tyrone, Okla.
